Bespoke Hallway Storage and Desk

This project highlights how thoughtful design can transform a hallway into a functional and stylish space.

Phase One: The first phase featured a custom-built shaker-style unit with three wide doors and three top storage boxes. The double-door section was fitted with hanging rails for coats, while the right-hand unit housed storage for a vacuum cleaner and other essentials. The top boxes provided additional storage, making excellent use of vertical space.

Phase Two: Several years later, the client expanded the hallway by knocking down an internal wall. This created an opportunity to install new flooring and design a bespoke desk and cupboards to conceal the fuse board. The result was a spacious CD, DVD, and file storage cupboard, paired with two smaller base cupboards to form a functional desk.

To elevate the space, we incorporated LED lighting under the wall unit for subtle illumination and crafted a unique maple desk with a lightly tinted blue resin inlay. This one-of-a-kind piece added character and elegance to the transformed hallway.
