Stairs remodel after extension

Many years ago we were asked to look at a staircase. a builder had put an extension over a garage, and put more steps into the corner to raise the step count before the landing. we extended the newel posts, supplied new Ash hand rails and square spindles. the real tricky bit was filling in where should have been wall, sting or posts for the painter to follow. this gave the illusion this is an original staircase.
